You’ve probably spotted fewer DDR4 rigs in our shop recently. That’s completely intentional. Let’s cut through the clutter and explain what’s changing, why, and how it affects your next Gladiator PC.
DDR4 Stock Is Vanishing
Big memory brands like Samsung and Micron are shifting production to DDR5, LPDDR5, and HBM. DDR4 output is on its way out, meaning there’s far less new stock hitting the market.
That squeeze makes it tough for us to secure the reliable, top‑tier RAM you expect under the Gladiator brand.
Prices Are Climbing Hard
With supply drying up, DDR4 prices have surged, sometimes by as much as fifty per cent compared to earlier this year. That price hike pushes total system costs higher, and frankly, it dents value for both you and us. As the price of DDR4 sticks reach parity with DDR5 we don’t see any reason to keep on using it in our systems.
DDR5 Isn’t Just Future‑Proof. It’s Here
Meanwhile DDR5 is becoming the norm:
- Better availability and more price stability
- Higher bandwidth, efficiency and performance on Intel 13th Gen + AMD AM5
- Smart choice for anyone serious about gaming, content creation or upgrades
We’re not just phasing DDR4 out— we’re building a smarter future.
How We’re Handling the Transition
What We’re Doing | What It Means |
---|---|
Replacing DDR4 systems with DDR5 | We’re switching build options entirely to DDR5 unless specifically requested |
Reducing AM4 system line-up | We cannot change AM4 to DDR5 so this line-up will reduce overtime until there is no more stock available |
Adding more DDR5 systems | Fresh models with DDR5 at competitive prices and stock |
The Bottom Line
Gladiator PC exists to deliver reliable, high-return systems. As DDR4 supply falters and prices rise, sticking with recycled or spotty modules simply isn’t up to us. DDR5 is the smarter, cheaper and safer route. That’s where our focus is.
That doesn’t mean we’re forgetting DDR4 entirely. If you need it, we’ll build it. Just reach out.
Got questions?
Are you still selling DDR4 systems? Yes, we will still sell AM4 systems with DDR4, and a small amount of Intel based systems until our stock is depleted.
Is DDR5 really worth it? Absolutely. More speed, less hassle, future‑ready.
Concerned about quality? Every Gladiator build gets tested thoroughly. No used or recycled bits.
